An Obscure Orbit

You’ve found another land, one like a dark mirror of the world familiar to you. It has elements and faces that seem like creepy distortions of those you’re accustomed to.

Maybe you’re trapped there, unable to escape until you solve the mystery of this place. Maybe it's a place you enter and leave but are unable to abandon entirely. Or maybe it’s a place you could just avoid and leave behind, except that something or someone you care about was taken there.

Regardless, there’s a sense of impending disaster, an apocalypse or ending. And more than that, there’s a sense of repetition or inevitability about the events before you. Perhaps they are reflecting the recent history of your world; the death of Jade Irinka, say, or the coming of the Excrucians. Perhaps they repeat the legends of the False World. Or perhaps it’s a literal time loop, with some miraculous force giving you a new opportunity each time you fail to fail to avert the catastrophe.

Regardless, you’ll need to figure out what you can do, and soon. Because like it or not, the fate of the False World rests on you. And the consequences for failure could be greater than you know. 

"An Obsvure Orbit" is a quest set loosely inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and other tales of strange otherworlds. It's compatible with Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine and Glitch: a Story of the Not by Jenna Moran. It is comprised of 5 simplified and 5 full-length quests you can play through as a Mystic, Shepherd, Bindings, Otherworldly, Knight, or Storyteller arc.

It also includes a Lifepath for creating a mortal or miraculous Chuubo's character, three possible arc stories, and some campaign advice for how to include this quest set in your game.
